Exotic beverages ahoy!

I recently tried 2 non alcoholic beverages- the Nestle mocha cafe and the Sepoy n co pink lemonade mixer.. it is surprising how these beverages are moving from cafe to people’s homes with ease.. you will find shop shelves and Quick commerce space increasingly filling up with exotic beverages, unusual flavours, right there ready to be picked up.. Mixers as a category has grown in the last few years and you can easily stir up a fancy drink without having to bother about multiple ingredients.. similarly that exotic cold coffee right there at your table at a lower cost and in the comfort of your home.

But what's driving this trend?

Is it the after effect of the cafe culture or the evolution of indian beverage preferences..

1. The Cafe Culture Effect:

The proliferation of cafe culture in India has undoubtedly played a role in shaping consumer preferences. Cafes have introduced Indians to a wide range of international beverages, creating a demand for specialty drinks like cold coffee and flavored lemonades. Now, with the availability of packaged ready to serve products, consumers can easily recreate these at home

2. Evolution of Indian Beverage Preferences

The growth of the packaged beverage market indicates a significant shift in Indian consumer behavior. Indians are no longer satisfied with traditional tea and coffee; they're experimenting with new flavors and formats. The demand for cold coffee, iced coffee and other packaged beverages is on the rise, driven by the desire for convenience, affordability and variety. Consumers want easy-to-use products that fit into their busy lifestyles.
